MAPU Association is a young non-profit, founded in Madrid, Spain, in April 2006. MAPU Association supports and strives to ensure the local communities’ self determination, the protection of human and environmental rights, and the promotion of a fairer relationship between Argentinean and Chilean Patagonia in particular and all the Southern regions in general, with the Northern dominant countries.
The main objective of MAPU Association is to encourage and promote cooperation and development projects within the Argentinean and Chilean Patagonia communities aimed at fostering the local self sufficiency, and at augmenting their resources and ability for positive and sustainable development.
According to its Statute, the MAPU Association was founded to pursue, especially in the Argentinean and Chilean Patagonia, the following objectives.
MAPU Association is a pluralist organization and encourages the participation and appreciates the cooperation of people and other organizations of various fields and origin who share our objectives and philosophy.
